LiSyM-Cancer Status Seminar 2024

The last Status Seminar of the current funding period brought together 69 participants from C-TIP-HCC, DEEP-HCC, SMART-NAFLD and Program and Data Management in the beautiful Salles de Pologne in Leipzig.

The last Status Seminar of the current funding period brought together 69 participants from C-TIP-HCC, DEEP-HCC, SMART-NAFLD and Program and Data Management in the beautiful Salles de Pologne in Leipzig. The two half day sessions featured excellent presentations of the achievements especially by the young scientist within the network, alongside lively discussions on scientific findings, technological improvements, methodological challenges and practical approaches to the fulfillment of the deliverables. The agenda intentionally left space for unsolicited interactive exchange between scientists of the different consortia to strengthen existing partnerships and initiate new cooperations. This meeting also served as the closing session of the current funding period, ending on June 30, 2024. We expressed our gratitude to leaving partners of LiSyM-Cancer for their valuable contributions while also welcoming new partners for the 2nd funding period. LiSyM-Cancer-2 will follow on seamlessly, running from July 1st 2024 until June 30th 2027. Representatives of the PtJ and members of the Scientific Advisory Board also attended the meeting, which was highly appreciated by the participants. Looking ahead, the next Status Seminar of LiSyM-Cancer in the 2nd funding period will be held in Düsseldorf in 2025. Exact date will be announced.
